The ab-riffic Green Lantern star is ramping up his comic book-flick profile by playing a dead guy trying to keep other dead guys from running riot.
According to producer Neal Moritz, Reynolds is locked in to play a recently deceased cop who’s drafted into the R.I.P.D. — the police of the dead — and partnered with an old, similarly not-alive gunslinger. Together they’ve gotta stop the apocalypse. Based on the Dark Horse comic by Peter Lenkov and Lucan Marangon, R.I.P.D. is Reynolds’ third comic movie in the offing — Green Lantern’s currently shooting, and Deadpool is getting prepped for takeoff.
In other words, Chris Evans, with your Captain Americas and Scott Pilgrims…watch yer ass.
