Samsung of Japan will be releasing a 1GB player called the “YP-C1Z” for a quiet 12,800 yen. I can’t really find anything wrong with the player that would merit such a low price (for Japan)—it has all the standard stuff plus OGG playback—but I’m sure there’s something I’m missing (how about innovation?). It also gets 42 hours of playback time from a single AAA battery.
