Saudi Arabia has just given the OK to start construction on the Kingdom Tower, the world’s first mile-high skyscraper. The tower will be built in the coastal city of Jeddah and is set to cost a whopping cost $30 billion.
Housed in the structure will be space for offices, residences, and a hotel. It’s hard to even imagine how massive this thing will be; at literally one mile high, it will dwarf Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, which stands at roughly 2,700ft.
