David Weber’s interstellar Naval officer Honor Harrington is coming back to comic books next month — but before that, a team of female creatives is coming together to write three prequel webcomics starring Honor. io9 is proud to exclusively unveil Facet of Honor’s first story, Cubs!
Set between Honor’s recent return to comics in the Free Comic Book Day release Tales of Honor and the upcoming second run of comics from Top Cow and Image, each story in Facets of Honor looks into different events and aspects in Honor’s past, and how they’ve come to shape her into the daring Captain she is today.
Without further ado, here’s the first of the three stories: Cubs, written by Jody Houser (Orphan Black, Vertigo Quarterly: CMYK) and with art from Chrissie Zullo (Fables):
