The upgraded Aricebo telescope will be sending more space noise data to SETI, whose ongoing project to scan the heavens for signs of extraterrestrial radio emissions has been going on for almost a decade. Hopefully that means we’ll be tuning in outer space radio soon, though not in a scary way like in Mary Doria Russell’s excellent novel The Sparrow. [Science Daily]
