Shells Collide as the ’80s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Join the Modern TMNT Cartoon

Did you think the 2009 Turtles Forever 25th anniversary movie would be the only only chance for various iterations of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to kick ninja butt together? Not so, thanks to Nickelodeon’s current animated TMNT series, which is sending the ‘80s 2D turtles to the 3D present.

The episode “Trans-Dimensional Turtles” will air on March 27, bringing the two sets of teenaged, mutated turtles with ninja skills together to battle the original Krang and his modern counterpart Kraang Sub-Prime. Every voice actor from the classic cartoon is coming back, including Cam Clarke, Rob Paulsen, Barry Gordon, Townsend Coleman, and Pat Fraley as Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Krang, respectively.
