We first reported a couple of months ago that they were working on this, and NTT DoCoMo and Sony are starting to test their new FeliCa system that makes it possible to pay for things with just a swipe of your cellphone. What distinguishes FeliCa from other payment systems is that the chip in the phone can actually store receipts for your purchases.
