Sony rolled out three cheap headsets today, all with retractable cables and available in multiple colors. Top of the line is the MRD-Q68LW ($30), bringing the best specs of this lowly bunch with a range that Sony claims spans 16Hz to 24kHz. Fat chance.

The lower-priced ($20, pictured above) model is the MDR-Q38LW, which Sony says can go down to 20Hz but still spits out those 24kHz highs that only a dog can hear.

The midrange of the line consists of the MDR-LE30LW ($26), using a different form factor with earbuds that are also retractable. All three have that neat little button that you push to retract the cables. Take a look at the other colors and models:

Do you have a brain? Do you bother doing research?

Or do you enjoy looking like an idiot?

There are several high quality IEMs that can probably trounce whatever you thinks of as good.

Earbuds != Bad

That being said, I'll lay odds the $30 sonys aren't as good as $20-25 KSC-75s
