I will not rest until I see a man in leather ride a green tiger to fight with a purple man with a skull for a head. The He-Man movie must be made, and thankfully Sony is still on it.

In a recent interview with Crosswalk, Sony/Columbia Pictures Vice-President DeVon Franklin dropped this bomb about Sony's intentions for the He-Man movie.

One of other things I'm really excited about is we're doing a reboot of the 1980s franchise Masters of the Universe. The He-Man franchise. Very excited about that. Should have that script very soon. I'm praying that we can start figuring out how we're going to make it.

Which means: it's still in play, people. Last we heard the Masters of the Universe script was getting a complete overhaul by Alex Livtak and Michael Finch (Predators). But from the sound of this interview they're yet to turn anything in. Fingers crossed Sony pushes forward with this project. Because honestly there are a lot more people that would be jazzed about a He-Man movie than another C-list superhero.
