Gold olive branch from Apollo 11

During the Apollo 11 mission in July 1969, NASA astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin deposited a small gold olive branch—a symbol of peace—onto the lunar surface. This relic is of tremendous historic importance, and its meaning and promise is something that should be kept in mind as we head deeper into the new space race.
