Spray-On Computers in Development

A bunch of Scottish scientists have developed what they call “spray-on computers,” a bunch of tiny specks that, when sprayed on the human body, can network together and get a more thorough analysis of a patient.

Spraying them directly onto a person creates the ability to carry out different tests at the same time, for example muscle movement and pulse rate. This allows a complete picture of the patient’s condition to be built up quickly.

It’s all very vague and exciting. It sounds all well and good to me, although the idea of computers so small I could accidentally inhale a few thousand dollars’ worth does seem a bit worrisome.
