Star Wars: Episode VII is coming in 2015 whether it's ready or not

Uh-oh. Seeing as it's almost the end of 2013, it's going to take a mountain of post-production work, and it just got new scriptwriters, it seems almost impossible that Star Wars: Episode VII would make its summer 2015 release date. But don't tell Disney, because they're premiering it then no matter what.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy ask Disney CEO Bob Iger to delay the film's release for a year to give the team the time they need to make the movie. Iger flatly said no.

Yikes. Although J.J. Abrams is reportedly still game to try and make a movie this massive in a little over a year and a half, remember, it took three years each for George Lucas to make the prequels. But then again, maybe this will force the moviemakers to figure out some better and more creative solutions than just putting everyone in front of a green screen for three hours. Maybe...
