Pop artist Des Taylor blends his fascination with 1950s pinup art and animation-inspired superhero designs to imagine the retro-style magazines Marvel and DC characters might have graced in the sixties and seventies.
Taylor does a nice job giving these Bruce Timm-esque characters a slightly older feel for his “Live” (in lieu of “Life”) magazine covers. I must say, though, I prefer his Rosie the Riveter version of Wonder Woman for a magazine cover to the sex kitten look.
