Survey shows Americans spend most of their time working and watching TV

The New York Times posted a detailed infographic last year visualizing data gathered from the American Time Use Survey. Apparently, as you age, you spend less time working and more time watching TV and movies.

We spotted this chart on Sociological Images, where Gwen notes:

The averages for time spent at work seem pretty low, but that’s because they’re averaged over all days of the week, including any days off, rather than only days a person actually went to work.
