Contradicting just about everything the company has said up until this point, Jim Allchin, VP of Microsoft’s Platforms Group, confirmed that there will be an update of the Tablet PC operating system. Code-named Lonestar, it will include better handwriting recognition and few other improvements, and should be ready sometime early next year.
