We were saddened by the news that Marvel’s excellent Darth Vader comic was ending after 25 issues. Mainly because we love good comics, especially ones featuring sick burns, but also because it’d mean no more Star Wars writing from Kieron Gillen. Thankfully, it turns out that’s not going to be the case.

Marvel’s December solicits currently have an entry for Star Wars: Classified, a secret comic that will join Star Wars and Poe Dameron as the company’s third ongoing Star Wars title. We know absolutely nothing about it, other than the fact two issues will be out in December, and Gillen is writing, with Kev Walker on art duties.
What could it be? A spiritual continuation of Darth Vader? A spinoff based on its hit new character, Doctor Aphra? Maybe even a post-Return of the Jedi comic? Whatever it is, we’re very glad Gillen is not leaving the galaxy far, far away.
