This isn’t the first one of these we’ve seen, but Apex, which you might know from their inexpensive DVD players, is coming out with a $399 game console for playing regular PC computer games (there’s a less expensive version planned as well). The ApeXtreme costs more than either the PS2 or the Xbox, but besides supporting most PC game titles, the console, which runs on a special version of Windows XP, will also be able to play MP3s and videos.
