Last week, we asked you to put your digital manipulation skills to the test by coming up with a new look for Star Wars’ Stormtroopers. Here are the greatest—and strangest—ideas that you came up with.

First off, some of you went above and beyond, not just manipulating images, but actually drawing completely new Stormtrooper outfits. Let’s start with those.

Yankton submits the design below and writes:

Just as the prequels showed the Stormtrooper as an evolution of Jango’s armor, I kind of like the idea of the new costume incorporating elements of Vader’s armor.

Unless Luke began a concentrated PR scheme to rehabilitate Vader’s image after Jedi, most of the galaxy still knows him as a terrible Sith monster, easily mythologized.

miljenko had this design ready “for an ostensibly friendlier breed of ‘Republican Stormtroopers.'” My, what large codpieces you have:

Umndan made the Stormtroopers a bit more agile:

TOEcomicsDOTcom gives the Troopers a classy new look:

And some of you sketched up a bit of Stormtrooper humor. willroyboy combined Richard Mansfield with a Stormtrooper for this image:

And Kaek gives us the Repression Trooper:

Others among you created hilarious digital manipulations, or in the case of StuntRocker‘s Ferguson Stormtroopers, depressing ones:

ThatOneGuy takes the original Stormtroopers and just adds narwhals:

richardrae1 uncovers the terrible truth about Stormtrooper helmets:

We all win with dystopika‘s suggestion: “Predator-troopers. Hunting down terrible Star Wars characters.”

JurassicBark gives us Stormtrooper armor as designed by Stark Industries:

And resistance to Ken_g6‘s Borg Stormtroopers is futile:

And Drewdle‘s Troopers give up war to become “Lord Vader’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”:

And 3TS gave Stormtroopers the one thing they really need—a fire guidance system:

Great stuff, everyone!
