The Weyland-Yutani A.I. computer of the good ship Covenant is “MUTHUR,” which the people aboard have linguistically and naturally changed to “Mother.” It’s actually pretty creepy even before things start to go horribly, horribly wrong for the Covenant crew as this odd little trailer proves.
All the clips in this feature Daniels (Katherine Waterston) making inquiries of “Mother,” starting with the mundane and ending with the possibly lifesaving. If you missed all the other references to parenthood, and motherhood in particular, in these movies, this one seems designed to make sure you get it.
