Marvel Comics have released a very Terminator-esque image of Wolverine with his half of his face missing and the words “The End” scrawled along the top, without any further information. But the end of what, exactly…?
Marvel has already published three different series chronicling the future of Wolverine: the currently ongoing Wolverine: Old Man Logan, due to finish in September – but that Wolverine looked nothing like this one – as well as Wolverine: The End and X-Men: The End. Does this tease suggest that they’re going back to the well for a fourth time, with the difference being that now they’ve made the character look more like Hugh Jackman? Or is the publisher going to kill off the character in the modern day, a la Captain America? Of course, look how that turned out…
