The fragile little ball we call home

You can practically see your house in this ultra-crisp image of our homeworld, newly uploaded by NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, if you live in the Western Hemisphere. Something about the beautiful air currents and lush greenery looks terribly fragile.

We already featured some of the high-res Goddard images of Earth back in March. But this new image struck us with its combination of sharpness and the smeary lines that almost look like an oil painting. And here’s an incredible image of Tropical Storm Conson, in the South China Sea:
