The future of CGI might just be recreating movie stars of the past. When I saw Jeff Bridges in the remake of Tron, and a CGI Arnold in (whatever?), it came to me that Hollywood could save lots of money by trading on already popular stars who no longer need a paycheck. I read somewhere that John Wayne is still one of the most popular leading men. Why not?
