The Timecop remake has hired a writer for their gritty reboot. But who will they hire for the all-important splits move?
THR is reporting that the Timecop remake is still in the works, and will probably be a lot more like Looper than Timecop. Also, the movie has found a pair of writers to pen its screenplay with Mark and Brian Gunn. the writers of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.
The news goes on to report that the new Timecop will be “a more gritty and grounded police story with the sci-fi in the background, though it will still have the main character on a personal journey.” Hmmm.
Not sure about this. The original Timecop starred THE Jean-Claude Van Damme as a time-traveling cop (hence the name) who gets caught up in some dirty politics when he discovers a powerful villain abusing the timelines.
