The Island of Doctor Moreau has a reboot in the works. Deadline has announced that Lee Shipman and Brian McGreevy of Netflix’s Hemlock Grove have been hired to adapt the original H.G. Wells novel into a new movie.
Thumbs up on that news, because we love a lot of what we saw in Hemlock Grove. Although they’re going to be hard-pressed to match the lunacy of the 1996 Marlon Brando version, in which the legendary actor shot a whole scene with an ice bucket on his head. And that was only like the 10th craziest thing that happened during that film.
