When fans learned that the killer A.I. Ultron was returning in VisionQuest, we probably all had the same thought: “That guy can definitely not be trusted.” And now, in the latest trailer for Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ show, we see that those thoughts were warranted. Ultron and Vision will go head-to-head on the show, but that’s only the beginning.

Marvel just released the latest, and possibly last, trailer for VisionQuest, which begins on October 14. It continues with the stories and characters mentioned in earlier trailers but digs even deeper, especially with Ultron (once again played by James Spader) and Thomas Shepherd (Ruaridh Mollica), who claims to be Vision’s son.

Usually, Vision letting Ultron out of this mysterious world he’s created, and Ultron getting back to the business of ending the world, would be enough for a whole story. In fact, Marvel already made that story. It was called Avengers: Age of Ultron. But as interesting and scary as that might be for this world, it’s the idea of this Vision having a son that really ups the stakes. What does that mean? Who is this Vision? And how, if at all, will he connect to what’s happened with Wanda and the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

There’s also the thread of this being the last show in a trilogy, one that started with WandaVision and continued in Agatha All Along. We don’t see much of the Agatha storyline in there, save for the whole Wanda and Vision have kids thing, so this show sure seems like it has a lot of ground to cover.

Thankfully, it’s got some time to do that. The show will run eight episodes, starting with a two-part premiere on October 14. Then, new episodes drop weekly on Wednesdays until the finale on November 25. Are you ready for VisionQuest?
