Indie movie The Man From Earth has become a direct-to-DVD hit, boosting its IMDB movie-meter ranking from 11,235 to #6. The Man From Earth is now at #14 on the list of the top science fiction movies of all time, and it’s all thanks to people pirating the movie and sharing it online, says the movie’s producer. Based on a script from Twilight Zone/Star Trek writer Jerome Bixby, The Man From Earth is about a college professor who reveals he’s an immortal who has “walked the Earth for 14,000 years.”
