The first trailer for Mad Max: Fury Road just hit the web, and holy shit, this movie looks awesome. It’s got fire-spitting hot rods, tornados made of dust and lightning, Charlize Theron in scary makeup, not to mention lots and lots of explosions. What’s not to like?!
Mad Max is just the latest decades-old franchise to be resurrected. Unlike some of the others—looking at youStar Wars—the newest film is directed by George Miller, the original director and mastermind behind the whole genre. Purists will complain that Mad Max: Fury Road lacks the Australian connection of the original. But the generation that’s just discovering the franchise probably won’t care because, again,this movie looks pretty rad.
