One of the greatest animated series of all time pays homage to another cartoon that will undoubtedly also be fondly remembered for decades as The Simpsons recreates Adventure Time for its latest couch gag opening, airing before the first episode of season 28.
It’s hard to wrap your head around the fact that The Simpsons has been on the air for 28 seasons now, but Pendleton Ward’s Adventure Time is surprisingly already at season seven, with little sign of slowing, and lots of backstory still to be revealed. Come to think of it, it would be great to see Pendleton tackle an episode of The Simpsons, it might make the show worth watching again.
