They still don’t have any actual photos of it on their site, but Tight Systems has made a few improvements to the specs of their forthcoming TAZ I personal video player. It’s still gonna be able to play MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4, and DivX video formats and MP3 and Ogg Vorbis audio formats and have a 4-inch transflective LCD screen, but they’re adding swappable hard drives in sizes ranging from 20GB to 80GB so add more space to it if you want to. They’re also planning to offer the Mini TAZ (pictured at right), a standalone MP3 player the size of a domino that uses SD memory cards and which docks into the side of the TAZ I for file transfer. The TAZ I was supposed to be out earlier this month, looks like they’re aiming for early next year now.
