Paul “Peacay” of the BibliOdyssey blog has uncovered some remarkable engravings that were left behind by Amsterdam clergyman Olfert Dapper. He created these depictions of Chinese life in the late 17th century and the result is not just an invaluable record of an historical era, but also a work of art.

There are many more images at BibliOdyssey so go check it out.
