Not all refurbished hardware is worth buying, and not all categories have the same risk profile. Apple hardware, however, tends to age very well: The software support window is long, the build quality holds up, and the used market is liquid enough that condition grades are meaningful rather than aspirational. Back Market has made the grading process its core argument: Fair, Good, Excellent, and Platinum ratings assigned by professional refurbishers, backed by a warranty and return policy.

Back Market has a stellar refurbished inventory across all of the top tech brands, listed at great prices that can be brought even lower with trade-in credit. With the biggest shopping days of the year — Black Friday and Cyber Monday — mere weeks away, we’re highlighting three of the Apple products currently priced well below their original list prices at Back Market.

All three devices come with Back Market’s standard warranty and return protection. The professional refurbishment process and tiered condition grading are what make Back Market a terrific alternative to buying new, well beyond the price tag.

iPhone 15 (Unlocked, 128GB)

$729 List $416 Back Market (Excellent)

The iPhone 15’s headline feature at launch was replacing the Lightning port with USB-C, but it’s what surrounds that port that keeps the 15 relevant. The 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED panel at 1179 x 2556 resolution is still competitive at this screen size. The 48-megapixel main sensor captures more detail than the system needs to process for standard use, which gives the camera headroom in lower light and at distance. The 12-megapixel front camera handles video calls and selfies without requiring software to compensate for the hardware. 5G and eSIM are standard, and the unlocked configuration on Back Market means no carrier strings attached.

Fair condition starts at $396, but for just another $20 you can upgrade to Excellent at $416, against an original list price of $729. Five colors are available. The condition tiers describe cosmetic state, not functional differences: Fair and Excellent grades pass the same performance benchmarks before listing. At $416 for Excellent, the gap between what you’re paying and what the phone cost new is $313, a far cry better than most Black Friday iPhone promotions offer on current-generation hardware.

iPad (10th Generation, Wi-Fi, 64GB)

$425 List $380 Back Market (Excellent)

Apple revised the iPad design significantly for the 10th generation, and the result has been one of their best-selling tablets ever. The Lightning connector that defined six years of entry-level iPad hardware is gone, replaced by USB-C, which means this iPad connects cleanly to the rest of Apple’s ecosystem. The 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display runs at 2360 x 1640 with 264 pixels per inch and True Tone calibration. The A14 Bionic chip is the same processor that shipped in the iPhone 12 two years before this iPad launched, which is both a reflection of Apple’s supply chain efficiency and a sign of how much runway the chip had left.

The 10th-gen also introduced Apple Pencil (USB-C) compatibility to the entry-level line, which matters for users who want a writing or drawing tablet without committing to an Air or Pro. The 12MP cameras front and rear handle 4K 60fps video and FaceTime equally well. Back Market lists the Wi-Fi model in Silver or Blue at $380 in Excellent condition, which is less than the current new price anywhere in the market for a device runs the latest iPadOS without issue.

Apple Watch Series 10 (46mm, Aluminum, GPS)

$429 List $228 Back Market (Fair), $269 (Good) $289 (Excellent)

Apple’s design team made the Series 10 thinner than its predecessors, and the 46mm aluminum case weighs in at roughly an ounce. The Always-On Retina display peaks at 2000 nits, which is useful outdoors and eliminates the wrist-raise requirement that older Apple Watch generations used to stay readable in sunlight. ECG is available directly from the watch face. The Double Tap gesture, introduced in the Series 9, lets a two-finger pinch on the watch hand accept calls, dismiss alerts, or trigger the action button without the other hand. This is the standalone GPS model rather than cellular, so it handles workouts and navigation without a separate plan while staying connected to an iPhone for everything else.

Back Market carries the Series 10 46mm aluminum at $228 in Fair, $269 in Good, and $289 in Excellent condition. At the Excellent tier, the $140 markdown from the original $429 list price is the clear winner.
