These Turntables Double as an Interactive Display

Modern DJs use setups that allow their vinyl turntables to control the digital music on their laptops. But instead of staring at a screen all night, this projector-enhanced setup turns their wheels of steel into an interactive display.

Created by E.N.S.—aka Ian Silverman—the projector puts the interface for a piece of DJ/scratch software called Serato Scratch Live directly onto the turntables. And since the program can actually be controlled by the special vinyl DJs use, it allows them to stay focused on their turntable and mixer setup like they did before the advent of digital music.
