If you had $625,000, this Panavision PSR 35mm camera could have been yours. Which is expensive. But it also happened to have filmed most of Star Wars. So, yeah, money well spent.
The beautiful late-60s camera was purchased at auction from Hollywood starlet of decades ago, Debbie Reynolds, who had been holding onto it for some reason. Closet Star Wars fan? The new owner is anonymous, but I can tell you with great certainty that it isn't me. The camera will now sit in some other very wealthy person's home, where it will be briefly pointed out at occasional dinner parties, and make the holder feel better about their empty husk of a soul. As Han Solo once said, "IT BELONGS IN A MUSEUM." [Guardian via PetaPixel]
