Everyone you know is sick, or getting sick, or they've become a lifeless husk of human skin full of flu germs where there was once organs and bones and blood. Don't believe it? Check out Google's influenza tracker, which shows just how massive this year's spike is.

Google's Flu Trends tracks certain search queries to determine if you've got the flu. Search topics like, say, "flu cure", or searches for specific symptoms. And this year, the United States and Canada are red-lining on the flu. Just look at that map! You can click through to overlay specific previous years' data, or go in depth in specific states or cities. But the giant red map is probably a good enough indicator that we're all oozing puss buckets and more sick than we've been in the past six years (when the Google trends data begins).
