This post-apocalyptic short animation deserves its own movie

Oh, this is rather impressive. Behold Ruin, a cryptic 8.5-minute short film by the folks at Oddball Animation. In the post-apocalypse of Ruin, nature has reclaimed entire cities. Humans are still around, but verdant metropolises aren't as empty as they seem. Seriously, you'll want to give this animated short a whirl — it's like a lost scene from a certain Austrian cyborg franchise. Hat tip to Sean!

I could have watched the 'slow exploration of an overgrown city' part of that video (i.e. the first 30-45 seconds or so) all day. Once it turned into a bike chase, my interest faded a bit. Not because it wasn't beautifully executed, but because I've seen the motorbikes'n'missiles stuff before. The other stuff was more novel, and amazingly convincing.

Reminds me of Ballard's "The Drowned World", or Kadrey's "Kamikaze L'Amour".
