I love cutaway illustrations of airplanes, ships, and all kinds of machinery. I try to catch every single detail and usually get lost in the process. That’s why I like this photo so much: A real cutaway ship.
The photo was taken by Jana Asenbrennerova in Chittagong, Bangladesh, the second biggest ship breaking yard in the world. There, workers disassemble ships one piece at a time, seemingly living inside the giant beasts until they are completely destroyed. [National Geographic]
