What’s in comic shops tomorrow? Well, two of the internet’s favorite things are smushed together head-on at the spinner racks! Also, new Conan the Barbarian, Fantastic Four, and the end of Jason Aaron’s run on PunisherMAX!

First Issues

Brian Wood and Becky Cloonan helm Dark Horse’s new Conan the Barbarian series, which is an adaptation of Robert E. Howard’s Queen of the Black Coast.

You can check out some preview pages here and our interview with the creators about this swashbuckling project. Also from Dark Horse is a single-issue collection of Richard Corben’s Murky World stories.

Some other debuts this week include Robert Kirkman’s crime series Thief of Thieves, a new Adventure Time series by Dinosaur Comics scribe Ryan North (that’s a titanic team-up we can get behind), and the swords-and-leather title Garth Ennis’ Ninjettes (which is incidentally not written by Garth Ennis).

Grab Bag

First and foremost, Jason Aaron wraps up his run on the tremendously gory PunisherMAX, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

There are also new issues of Powers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Frankenstein Agent Of S.H.A.D.E., Batwoman, Memorial, Lobster Johnson: The Burning Hand. The Strain, Batman and Robin (read a preview here), Snake Eyes (you can check out a preview of that too), Unwritten, Demon Knights, Incredible Hulk, Wolverine and the X-Men, and Wolverine And The X-Men: Alpha And Omega.

Graphic Novels

Marvel Comics release their first new-readers-friendly Season One graphic novel on Wednesday. This week’s release is Fantastic Four: Season One by writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and artist David Marquez. The book promises a revisiting of the Four’s earliest battles with Doom and his villainous ilk. Athos In America, a new collection of cartoonist Jason’s idiosyncratic manimal strips, is out as well.

Other new books out Wednesday include the next volumes of Chris Roberson’s iZombie, IDW’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, and Dark Horse’s old-school Star Wars Omnibus reprints.

As usual, here’s the list of everything being released to comic stores tomorrow, and you can find your nearest comic retailer here. Happy reading, gang!
