Nintendo fans: Tired of your PSP-totin’ buddies giving you grief for not having multimedia on your gaming handheld of choice? Well fret no more, because Nintendo has rebranded their Play-Yan multimedia device for the Gameboy Micro. It works by streaming data from an SD card through the Micro. The player supports MP3 and MPEG4, and comes bundled with Media Stage 4.2 and PC software for converting and organizing content, which will be rendered meaningless if you can’t read Japanese.

The big news though, is that with this $79.90 device, you can now convert TiVo ToGo video files to ASF MPEG4 and transfer them to the Micro, using the same software and methods that Dave Zatz used to transfer video to the PSP a few months ago.
