Toshiba Libretto U100 Reviewed (Verdict: Maybe a Tad Too Tiny)

We mentioned the re-release of the smaller and sassier Toshiba Libretto in the form of the U100 a few months ago, and were quite excited by its prospects. The teensy 2.2 pound form factor packs quite a bit of oomph for its size; including a Pentium M chip, a 1280 x 768 resolution and a 60GB hard drive. Mobile Magazine seems to concur regarding the wee size of the Libretto U100, marveling at how much is crammed into such a tiny device. The downside, of course, is that it IS so tiny — tiny keys that rule out touch-typing, small type on a small screen, and a so-so battery life. And yet, the sheer cuteness of it still wins us over. We’ll just have to live with hunting and pecking and squinting.
