We’ve seen all types of tech clothing before, but this is the first that actually serves a purpose. Covert Assest Tracking Systems has developed a new line of threads that can be tracked via GPS and even monitored over the Internet. So should a group of hikers or mountain climbers get lost, they could be easily found if they’re wearing Covert’s gear. The clothes are solar-powered and waterproof, so there’s no need to charge anything. They’ll be unveiled next year at CES—here’s hoping they don’t look as dorky as other tech duds we’ve seen.
