The script for the movie, written by K-9 and Alaska writer Andy Burg, was bought at the end of last week by producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Paramount as a project for director Dan Bradley, currently working on the Red Dawn remake. While Red Dawn is Bradley’s first movie as director, he’s previously worked second unit director on movies like Superman Returns and the last two Spider-Man movies, giving us some faith that he’ll have picked up enough chops to handle a movie described as “a supernatural action movie involving a journey to hell.”
