Despite Tumblr’s massive popularity, it’s been taking its sweet time rolling out its app to different platforms—the iPad version only just hit this past December. And now, at long last, Windows Phone users finally have a Tumblr app to call their very own.

What does it do?
You’ll get everything iOS and Android users already enjoy, namely the ability to follow users and post in all of tumblr’s allowed formats—yes, GIF support included.
Why do we like it?
What’s special here, though, is that Windows Phone users are getting some exclusive features that (at least partially) make up for their long wait time—you can opt to have the most recent posts displayed in the app’s live tile or your lock screen. Everything else is pretty much the same; you swipe left and right to go between the various screens, but this is definitely a nice little victory for Windows Phone users. That is, of course, assuming you’re on WP8—WP7 users, sorry, but you’re out of luck.
