We’re still waiting for the first wireless iPods to appear, but Media Lab Europe is already working on a software application called TunA for streaming audio between wireless PDAs, cellphones, perhaps someday, even MP3 players. Most certainly a promising step, but we’d much rather be able to swap files with our friends, not stream them. One of the big problems with TunA is that if the person whose device you’re streaming from moves out of WiFi range, you’re out of luck.
