Maps can be beautiful things, that bring back memories, remind you of journeys, or just make you glad you live where you do. A company called Woodcut Maps now lets you preserve a Google Maps image in solid wood—and the results look gorgeous.

All you have to do is find the location you want on Google maps, and then choose the shape and style in which you’d like the map to be made. The company seems to have a beautiful range of exotic woods that you can choose from, and they come in a range of sizes from 8-inches square to a whopping 16×20 inches. If you’re interested, the maps are created using laser cutting to get those crisp, clean lines. Oh, and there’s currently a 30 per cent discount because the company just launched. [Woodcut Maps]
