First there was the bald eagle stuck inside the grille of a Florida motorist. And now Orange County, Florida has two bald eagles stuck in a storm drain. There’s even a live video stream of the rescue efforts. It’s all a bit on the nose for a country that’s reeling with the impending reality of a President Trump.
According to local news station WFTV, the bald eagle that’s on top is simply trying to protect the bird that’s stuck in the drain. It’s not clear how the first bird became wedged inside.

No one is sure how authorities in Florida are going to proceed, but given that the state voted for Trump, we can assume they’ll just grab both vulnerable animals and deport them to wherever is most convenient.
Update, 6:01pm: One of the eagles flew away and the other reportedly fell down into the storm drain. Our long national nightmare is… just beginning.
