Tying the Knot

Marriage, huh? Maybe some day. In the mean time I’ll just sit here and chuckle about the manner in which Chris Trivizas chose to deliver his wedding invitations:

“We are going to tie the knot. In the Greek language, there is an expression that uses the word “hang” in order to say “marry”. So, traditionally, when the father of the bride says “I will hang them”, he means that he will tie the couple with the holly bond of marriage. This tradition inspired a humorous invitation that includes both a rope and instructions on how to make a slip knot.”

Clever, Chris, very clever! Careful, though. As the ol’ saying goes, “give a man enough rope and he’ll hang himself.” Seems to come into play here, for some reason. Maybe it’s just me. [Lovely Package via The Daily What]
