You know what’s cool? Launching 965 model rockets at once. You know what’s cooler? Launching 3,130 model rockets at once. Boy Scout Jacob Smith honored the 100th anniversary of the organization by blowing away the previous world record.
Although the Boy Scout motto is “Be Prepared,” they didn’t exactly seem prepared for thousands of small rockets raining down on a large crowd after reaching their zenith. Luckily, they are only made of out plastic—but we hope no eyes were poked out. Nonetheless, everyone seemed please, including one anonymous scout who commented, “that was awesome.” Yes, yes it was, young man. Now someone give this kid an fuckin’ merit badge.
