When White Box Gallery handed us its keys three days ago, it looked exactly like what its name implies—a big empty white space on Manhattan's Lower East Side. Then Gizmodo Gallery construction started.
Over the course of the weekend, more than fifty people worked around the clock to bring everything together. Before we could even begin setting up all of the cool gadgets we gathered, we needed to complete three major construction projects: the 606 shelving unit designed by Vitsoe, the topsy-turvy Polymorphic Bench, and the Santa Claw, which simply defies expectation. Then we had to clean. This time-lapse beautifully captures the harried pace of the weekend.
