The latest episode of the Made by Hand series profiles Martinez Cigars, a New York City-based factory and store where they've been hand rolling and selling cigars since 1974. Watching one of their craftsmen take a stack of dried tobacco leaves and effortlessly roll it into a cigar is mesmerizing, and the art is made all the more beautiful through the black and white lens of this video by Bureau of Common Goods.

And in the same way they say you should never trust a thin chef, it's particularly satisfying to see these cigar rollers puff away on the fruits of their labor while they work. Who needs a box of cubans when Manhattan's got guys like this? [Vimeo via Have you seen this?]
