I never imagined liquids could move in this way

I'm not exactly sure what I just watched but I saw liquid dance in ways I didn't know liquid could even move. At least, not on Earth. The water ballet was filmed by Kamiel Rongen. He insists that everything in this video is real and hints that it was filmed in a fish bowl.

There's clever camera tricks and inventive techniques at work here (half the fun is guessing how it was filmed) and it all adds up to some mind warping shots that convince you of the existence of alien planets.

If you watch it upside down, it would make a bit more sense. It looks like he filmed it, then inverted the image. I don't know what kind of materials he's using, looks like oil and some other liquids that won't mix.
